Feature Suggestions

This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

  1. Revamp Adding Games

    When adding games manually, can it start with "Game Code" then the leagues that are available for that game code will generate. Then you pick a league and the teams will generate from that.

    Dealing with multiple leagues and so many different team names, this would limit the scrolling through all the teams.

  2. Game History

    It would be helpful to be able to keep a history of a game that logs changes to the game. So I can look back and see what day it was originally scheduled for or if the level changed. its easier than having to remember and track changes on my own. thanks

  3. Game Report Scoring

    When there is a tie of 0 to 0, the score does not show up in the completed games on the master schedule. Please change it so that I can scroll down and see that every game has been reported.

  4. A separate Injury Report or at least a category should be added to the incident report.

    Using the current incident report, which is clearly intended for infractions/ejections, is a bit awkward. Unless there was a deliberate act by another player, there is no offending player and no rules infraction.
    The incident report is an easy and convenient way for Officials to document game incidents promptly following the game when memories are fresh.

  5. Saving the Sorting Filters or changing the default order

    Having the ability to save the sorting feature or set defaults on the back end.

    The default Date, Arena, Time is annoying and having to reset it EVERY login is tiresome. It makes more sense to be Date, Time Arena. When viewing the master schedule

  6. Shows # of umpires on External public view (website integration) once published

    The setup Allowing to show # of umpires in the system does not appear to translate to the external schedule integration.

  7. Notes for Meetings

    Due to COVID, our officials need to have meetings over the phone, either through Zoom calls or any other means. We can put the information in the "Game Notes" (which should be "Meeting Notes"), but once accepted, they can no loner see the notes. That means they cannot get all the call information. Any chance of making this visible?

  8. Choose whether to require reaccept

    Minor changes, such as a field number change at the same park, should not force officials to have to reaccept or assignors to chase down officials who forgot or "forgot" they already committed.

  9. Automatically expiring certifications

    Custom profile fields can store information but not automatically block officials from assignments after their expiration date. Contact groups also require manual updates.

  11. Better permissions needed for club directors

    Better permissions are needed for club directors. A.D. accounts have a team limit that is lower than many clubs have. Making all the games home team of "CLUB FC" doesn't work for tracking which of their teams are which or importing their schedules. League/field accounts are view only and can't request changes.

  15. Folders for Teams list

    When I go to select a team from the list I created, it would be nice to quickly go to a folder instead of scrolling to get to a team. Example, all my High School teams would be in a HS folder, College teams all in a College folder etc...

  16. Messaging

    Under the messaging tab, any new message requires selecting each individual official or selecting all. It would be nice if our individually created groups could be an option for selecting. As an example, we have several user groups for hockey (Referees at different Levels, Linesmen, Junior Referees, Timekeepers, etc). At times, we only wish to send messages out to Referees and Linesmen and not Timekeepers or Junior officials. Sometimes its the other way around. Rather than going in to our individual groups and sending messages, which means sending it out a few times, it would be nice to go in…

  17. Start location by day, or date

    Start location by day, or date. Allow Official to declare starting zip code for each day Mon-Sun which allows for a situation where Official has different start zip on work days. Should be over-writeable (in Availailability) for specific days when you know you'll only be available from (yet another) zip.

  18. Set up a poll function so we can get feedback from the coaches and officials on how well the system worked.

    Set up a poll with 3 or 4 questions on how the system worked.
    1) Rate the system performance from 1 to 5- (5 being the highest rating)
    2) What was the biggest challenge you had with the system this year?
    3) What would you like to see to improve or is is good the way it is?

  20. Games in the future that are canceled by the Owner/assignor should be allowed to be deleted or at least blocked on the officials screen.

    They should be deleted only on the viewing status. There is not need for them to be deleted from the database.
    Leaving canceled games up for the officials to view is confusing.
