This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.

  1. Reporting on Membership

    We rank our officials (1, 2, 3) based on games worked, test score, and years of service. It would be great if we could run reports (like web enabled pivot tables) within HWR, including on custom fields.

  2. enables to set one specific zip code as the center point for flat rate mileage calculation as opposed to each individual umpire's zip code.

    When using a flat rate mileage from a center point it would be easier to calculate the mileage using the center point zip code as opposed to each umpire's home zip code.

  3. Allow Assigners to send a TBA when game has been turned back

    I have games that are turned back, but dont want to remove the official until I have found a replacement, but send a TBA. (our officials do not have the authority to send TBA only assigners)

  4. Show who added a member to your association

    In the member's profile, you can add a tab that show's which super user added the member to our association.

  5. System default for teams. Instead of blank put TBA and TBA2 in the teams block or a setting for us to determine the default setting.

  6. has a column in the 'bill tos' section of the members directory that shows which bill to the member is attached to

    next to the contact to feature which bill to the member is attached to. This should be a very quick and simple fix and would help me a lot. When I am asked to contact one of our bill to's... I currently just look at which town they live in and hope its the right person...

  7. Allow to Sort TBA by Location

    Currently the TBA's are sorted by Time only, which makes seeing sets at the same rink very difficult to see. It would be really useful if TBA's were sorted the same as in the Assignor view (Rink, then Time and Date)

  9. Request a Hotel Room

    Enable officials to request a hotel room for upcoming game assignments in addition to assigners inputting and saving them.

  10. Location block for tba request

    Location block should be in place for TBA request. I belong to a league that has 107 rinks and has geographical issues. 74 emails followed by app notification from Oct 14 to Oct 17

  11. Hide score in the master schedule if not submitted

    After an official submits a game report, the score shows up on the master schedule... unless the scosre is 0 to 0, then it APPEARS as though no one submitted a game report! How about if you make it so that 0 to 0 scores show up on the master schedule as 0 to 0 once a game report is filed. Thank

  12. Customize Official Ratings Questions by Position

    We should be able to customize questions based on the position the official is working. For example, Positioning does not apply to a Timekeepers job.

  13. Scheduling Fee

    Users (officials) would have to pay a fee at the start of the season to use HorizonWebRef. The fee would be set by the system admin and a percentage would go to Horizonwebref.

  14. Create Contact Groups based on distance / region

    Allow you to create a contact group of all officials within a certain regional area, maybe by selecting off the map.

    I assign as part of a national association and only want to reach my officials in a small area. Instead of going thru the thousands of people one by one it would be much easier to put up the map or sort by distance to select my officials for my group.

  15. Only require 1 rating per linked game set

    If there are linked assignments, only have one rating fellow official requirement. For example, not have to rate fellow official 3 times for each of the 3 linked games

  16. Send a unique email when a game is edited (changed)

    Today, when a game is edited (date, time, or field), the assigned officials get a message that makes it appear they have received a new game. Then, some officials wonder what happened to the other game, the one that disappeared. Its the same game, only its at a new date or time. It is confusing for officials.
    My idea is when a game is changed, send the assigned officials a message: Game #12345 has been changed. The date or time or field has been updated. You must re-accept the game.

  17. On your Incident reports. Please put a drop down that gives a choice between 'CAUTION" (or yellow) and "disqualification" (or red) card.

  20. Print adjustments for a specific time frame.
