This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Notes through game import
It would be nice to be able to import game notes during the import process; i.e. note that games are part of a tournament.

Email game details to a third party
If there is a new, or different group, where all they need is the details of a game, it would be nice to be able to email. Currently, I will print the game details page, scan as a pdf, and email. It would be nice to have an email button similar to the print button...

Copy Game Function
We have a generic league code in our system which we use to pay an official for fees that we don't want to direct back at a client but rather pay ourselves. For example, if we scheduled a game in error and the official went to the rink. Another example, if we have one of two officials no show due to an auto accident (we had this case this weekend), we want to see that both officials are paid their expected game fee. Yet, the one in the accident didn't work the game so we don't want his name in…

Prefix and Suffix on Game Number
Ability to put a prefix and suffix on game code to be able to more easily determine where the game came from. With over 3000 games a year it can get confusing.
If a pre/suffix isn't possible, can you make the game number more than 8 characters to accomodate this feature? I could put it in the game number to help out.34 votesgathering community support · -
Prevent unwanted multiple positions from assignment
For baseball, we almost always have 1 plate umpire, 1 base umpire. When i created the positions, 1 base umpire max / 1 plate umpire max was specified. Change the assigning software to prevent me from assigning 2 or more base / plate umpires when i have specified a max of 1.

Based on certain criteria, automatically apply a pre-defined travel fee to games
Would make our assignors lives a bit easier if there was a way to tell the travel/mileage system to automatically apply a travel fee for each official on the game if certain criteria are met.
I know not all associations have this, but most I know do some sort of single game fee.
Example:
Automatically add $5 travel to each official on all games that are:
Example League, Mite, Squirt or Peewee, Do not have a game within X minutes of the start time or end time of game in question.

allows an assignor or administrator to mark games paid even if not using the built in pay system
It would be useful to show what has been paid to officials when using other methods to make payment

When Linking games, allow check mark to remain in place until an official is selected.
After the linking request is selected, the check disappears. with a large number of games displayed it's somewhat difficult to find the game(s) especially with multiple officials per contest.

Add Position Filter for Finance Reports
In the Finance Forms it would be a great benefit to be able to produce the Forms with a selection for Position so in our case the Umpire Mentors could be selected and payment invoices generated through the use of the Finance Forms

Rotate Positions for umpires on linked games automatically
would like to see a feature added where the Plate umpire and Base Umpire automatically is rotated on link games when you assign them games

Add export to excel option for ratings
Add an export for coaches/observer ratings and comment to excel - this would allow supervisors to sort by official being rated, coach and observer for viewing. Would allow like comments to evaluated for official feedback

Allow game counters from past years
Allow the game counters to be viewed from past seasons. It would be useful to see how many games an official did from season to season. It would also be nice to see how many games an official declined, turned back, etc. each year and be able to retrieve that information from past years.

Ability to record No Shows
The issue of No Shows is always a problem & currently I record it as a declined game after the event so that I have some way of keeping track, however, this means I must delete all the real declined games on the day of the game so I have no way of keeping track of these.

Schedule CSV Update - Don't Unpublish
When I update games (date/time/venue/etc) one-by-one the system sends the assigned officials a single message that says something has changed and they need to re-accept.
When I upload a CSV, all updated games are un-published and the system sends all assigned officials an email that they have been removed from the game
The assigner is then required to publish the games again, when this happens the officials are sent a new email saying they have new games.
This is confusing for officials and gives them the impression that games have been removed and not changed..

Automatically block officials from working when "My (Their) Team" is playing.
Allow another feature where umpires select the team(s) they play in which automatically makes them unavailable for the times they are playing

Add the blue question mark to the "unavaiable" officials page during assigning
When assigning it would be very handy to be able to see an officials availability for that given day (or weekend) when you hover over his name or rank or somewhere in the "Show unavailable officials" box since sometimes they're being set to "unavailable" because of their manual rank and not their actual calendar.
This would alleviate having to click out of the assign view and into the calendar each time you want to check someones hours.

Ability to Add Game Notes to Multiple Games
I would like to be able to add the same note to multiple games at once--without having to go into each individual game.

Automatically links a scheduled game to the Pointstreak gamesheet for that game.
Many ice hockey organizations in the US currently use Pointstreak for their game recordkeeping needs. Each game scheduled has a game sheet created for it, which lists the rosters for each team and, following the game, shows all of the goals, penalties assessed, etc.
It would be incredibly convenient to be able to use my Horizon schedule to link directly to the Pointstreak game sheet for each game. If a game sheet is available before the event, I can use it to review eligible players before arriving at the rink.

Auto Decline Feature Per Game
Allow the auto decline feature to work on a single game rather then system wide. When assigning a game, have a field to populate a date for each individual game. Some games I want them to respond to sooner then other games.
