This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. See date TBA Response was submitted
With 1000+ players, 70+ umpires, 80+ teams, 50+ games per week, I have a lot of games to assign. I like the TBA system. But with lower level divisions, I need to do some games first-come, first-served assignments. If you could add the date the response was submitted to the TBA screen that appears when you click on TBA in the game assignment function, this would be a tremendous help. You put it on the email you send me of the TBA notification so it is in your system

Game Breakdown on Assign a game via Master Game Schedule,
Our association uses members in multiple functions and have multiple assignors.
Assignors have requested when consulting master game schedule page, then assign a game :
When scrolling over fields PRIOR GAMES & GAMES (giving total game count) a little window that pops up with more detailed break-down.
For example :
8 - Timekeeper
6 - Referee
2 - Supervisor(You can already do a game comparison via the availability page, but it means having to jump back and forth constantly to verify which people have worked what, when trying to equalize game counts).

shows the history of when people update their availability
Be able to see what date people updated their availability on. We have an issue where we schedule tournaments for a weekend and then after it's done, we get officials wondering why they didn't get assignment and their availability shows them free. It would be nice to know if they switched their availability after the scheduling was done.

Highlight games that are not fully assigned in the Master Schedule
I see that you have declined this request in the past, but please reconsider.
When you have a busy schedule it would be much more efficient to be prompted in the schedule itself for missing assignments..even if the # column highlighted, or changed colors.
When you have many games with a limited number of officials its beneficial to view missing slots with the surrounding assignments....this is why filters aren't necessarily the best option

Minimum rest time after set of games
Settings can be altered to identify when officials are available to officiate after assignments. If an official is set to become available immediately after an assignment, that official can be scheduled at another venue. If the settings are changed to allow for a minimum time period after the assignment, that official is now not available for linked assignments based on the time period identified.
Would it be possible to modify the filter to have the official become available based on the assignment?
For example, an official skating hockey in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association must have three hours rest after…

Master Schedule Google Calendar Sync
Scheduler Google Calendar Updates with all games on schedule for convenient referencing.

Allow all assignors the option to receive notifications when officials decline or have not accepted games.
Currently decline notifications or unaccepted assignments are only sent to the the person that made the assignment. It would be very helpful especially if you have two or more assignors working together that both receive and can view those turn backs, etc.

linked position rather than linked games
ex. we run a 3 official system. 2 refs and 1 timekeeper. if there are 5 games in a night, generally the timekeeper stays for all 5 and the refs stay for either 2 or 3 games. I also like to stagger the refs so one ref does 3 games with someone only doing 2, then the next ref comes in for 3 games and he does 1 with the original ref for 1 game and his last 2 with a new official that comes in for 2 games.

Automatically update game ID's set by user default.
Under System Settings>Preferences>Set your own Game ID's. When you chose yes, add a box to add a starting numerical value. So they automatically update every time, instead of needing to add every time.

Allow different Address than Home to be used for mileage
Some officials attend college, and have a different local address than their mailing address. If the user can specify a different address than their home address to be used for mileage it would be helpful.
This address could be the work address or a different local address.
An alternative would be to expose the mileage calculations via the API and allow it to be overridden.

allow game notes to be posted under the game edit feature
Place the game notes section in the game edit area. This way you can add notes detailing reasons for any changes made to a particular game rather than having to make the change, close the game editor, and open the notes feature.

When assigning, allowing to sort by Prior game will ensure that officials are working on a more regular basis

Separate ratings by game codes
I would like to be able to view the officials that officiate certain game codes and rank them. Now an official that is officiating lower game codes may be doing very well and he is ranked at the top and an official that is officiating higher level game that are more difficult his ratings might not be as good therefore his ranking is much lower. The old idea of apples to apples not apple to oranges.

Games Added within 5 Days Have to Be Approved
If games are added without enough notice, then it could be missed by our assigner.

Event contact
We utilize a contact name and phone # at each of the events we staff. Is there a way to add a column for this or allow this to be imported into the note for each event?

Interval Game Scheduler
We schedule 3,000 + games per year. When I add recurring games, I have to add a recurring game for the same field on the same night 4 different times for start times 6:15, 7:15, 8:15, 9:15 for example. It would be easier for us to just select that field and be able to say there are 4 games with 1 hour intervals starting at 6:15 and then have that apply to the date range we have selected. It would reduce my time entering games by 75%. I know this would be a bit more complicated to program though!

Adding a filter to the Master Game Schedule so we could select a day of the week within a date range
I would like to pick a specific community or league for a Tuesday for example and the same field number so I could schedule the same umpire on that field all summer long. It makes it easier to schedule instead of just going everyday of the week for that community. We have set schedules for many umpires and then fill in the blanks for the games left over with whoever is available. This would make scheduling even easier for us!

Allow mileage to be calculated when importing assignments
When importing a schedule, allow mileage to be updated/calculated for 1 or 2 slots (similar to auto-assign).
If the mileage amount changes, there is no way to go an update all games except individually.
