Feature Suggestions
This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

We’ve evaluated this concept in the past. At this time, we’re satisfied with our current implementation for handling this scenario. You can read more about that here: http://horizonwebref.com/new-features/suggestions/2175125

This functionality already exists via the Game Details page for each game. At this time, we’re not in favor of altering this functionality. Thanks for submitting an idea.

Have a feature that allows the ref association to post a public should to our website. (Excluding Officials names)
We would like the ability to post a schedule to our website so that customers can make sure we have their games on our schedule. We would like to leave out the officials names.
3 votesThis functionality already exists. You can use the Integrate My Website section to post a public schedule to an external website.

Time Restrictions re: Accepting Assignments
When assignments are published, the administrator should be able to determine when the assignment must be accepted by. If the official does not accept it by the date allocated, it will be automatically turned back to the assignor for re-assignment.
3 votesThis feature already exists. It is available in your System Settings.

Ability to Print Invoices to an Excel Format
Allow the Administrator to Print Invoices into Excel. This will allow them to sort as needed.
3 votesThis feature already exists. Payroll and billing data is available for export using the Payroll Exports at the top of the Master Schedule. Hope that helps. Thank you.

Game Details
My Game Details Pop-Up has a very small width set, and I must scroll left and right constantly to read the information. It would be nice to have it as wide as this feedback request pop-up...
3 votesThe game details page takes on 90% of the screen width at this time, so it is quite large. If you are experiencing trouble with this, please open a help ticket using Step#4 of the Get Help option. Thank you.

iPad/Android App
An app that allows mobile devices to access horizonwebref. Doesn't necessarily need the entire interface but an app that gives access to schedule, members roster and school addresses would be helpful.
3 votesThere is an existing idea that is identical to this one already in the feature request list. Please vote on the existing idea instead of creating a new one. Thank you.

Show positions in the Official's view of their schedule on both the desktop and mobile app
Add a column to the personal schedule that shows an official which position they have been assigned to.
3 votesThis information is already present on the schedule. Hovering or clicking on the position icon will reveal their assigned position. They can also view the Game Details page which lists this information as well. Thank you for submitting an idea.

return the update button on the availability page
I am quite surprised, and disappointed, with this change. Clicking an update button at the end of entering changes, especially on a page where lots of information could be accidentally changed with an inadvertent mouse click, is just standard web interface protocol.
Without the update button, the only way to ensure the change has gone through is to regenerate that page. For example, your provider has a momentary glitch, and one of your updates is not applied, but how would you know? The previous way, where the changed dates would flash in succession, was absolutely perfect. I hope we return…
3 votesWe have decided not to incorporate this idea, however,we have added additional notifications to the calendar page so that you can be more aware that your change has successfully been recorded. A System Update has been posted with additional details. Thank you.

Officials Directory
Give Athletic Directors access to the officials directory. Many of my AD's are requesting this.
3 votesWe have explored this option in the past and have decided not to incorporate it. The current feeling is that ADs have access to contact information for any officials working their games so we don’t currently see a need for full directory access. Additionally, many of our officials have expressed their desire not to share information with ADs and Coaches unless they are working one of their games. We will continue to evaluate this, but at this time we will not be incorporating this. Sorry.

Add Group Text button inside an assignment for officials to create a group text
This is very similar to the idea in https://horizonwebref.uservoice.com/forums/66397-feature-suggestions/suggestions/36052912-contact-crew-by-sms that is in the Assignors and Schedulers area, but this would be more specific for officials assigned to a specific game. We have the ability to text a single member of the crew but do not have the ability to create a group text to communicate with all members of the crew. This would be very helpful for members of the crew to communicate with each other before or after assignments.
3 votesThis already exists. This functionality is currently available through our Android apps. At this time, Apple does not allow iOS apps to initiate group texts, so until Apple loosens that restriction, we're unable to bring that functionality to our iOS apps. The functionality is already built, but iOS restrictions prohibit its use.

Show the website is secure
There is some sensitive data for users of this site. How do we know it is secure? Is it secure because the web admin says so? Not acceptable. This site should hire a security consultant to evaluate their security level and use a program that monitors the site for security intrusions. I wouldn't mind seeing a logo from a trusted security provider stating that this website is secure. I would look into what verisign has to offer.
3 votesMatt- Our system is constantly monitored and verified for security. The bottom right hand corner of every single page shows our security verifications, which is provided by Starfield Security Technologies. You can view this at any time to be shown our current security level, which is set at 256 bit encryption technology, which is the highest layer of security available today. Security is our number one priority above all else. Thank you for the concern, however, we do spend quite a bit of time and resources dedicated to securing our systems.

A way to trade/swap games because TBAing is frowned upon.
A place where officials can put games up for trade instead of just "ditching" them on the the scheduler because things pop up and we are pretty much not allowed to TBA games or else we get blacklisted.
3 votesThis feature already exists. I’m not sure we understand or can accommodate this request. The TBA system does exactly what you’re describing. It is a method for trading and/or swapping games. If trading or swapping games is frowned upon, there’s nothing we could do on our end to change that.

Adding Drop Down For Airports under Flights
It would be great if you could add a drop down for airports that were previously used similar to the hotels. This will make inputting flights go quicker!

Unaccepted Games Email Notifications
In the email that users get that they have games waiting to be accepted, can the username of the user or email of the user be displayed in the email so that we know who this email is for? I am a parent of timekeepers, as well as I am a referee, and I see the emails of my kids, and when I see a generic email notification for unaccepted games waiting to be accepted, I don't know who it is for, so all 3 of us check horizon.

Officials Ability System
Rather then using a numberic ability system, allow assignors to use a check box system to show what level each official is capable of working. This can be set up in the member director page.
3 votesI believe this feature already exists. If I understand your request correctly, you want to specify whether or not an official is eligible for a specific level. This can be accomplished using the Game Code block system. Likewise, you could also use the Position block system. This is essentially the exact same system you are proposing.

Allow an official or assignor choose "minimum" game level for an official.
This would prevent very senior officials from showing up when scheduling mite or squirt games for example.
3 votesThis feature already exists, using our Manual Ranking system you can set minimum/maximum ranking levels to restrict the qualifications of officials that will display in your available officials list. Thanks!

Manual rankings
Instead of a number rankings, have the ability to have division rankings.
e.g. for hockey.
If an official can Referee up to Peewee Rep and Lines up to Bantam Rep, have to ability to input this and not just a number.
3 votesThis functionality already exists via the Game Code block system which allows you to specify which levels an official can or cannot work without using numerical rankings. You can also use Contact Group Restrictions for this too. Manual Rankings are generally intended for organizations that already utilize a numerical hierarchy.

Include games assigned in availability CSV export
My cohort in assigning likes to work from the availability export ro .csv for weekend days. Currently, if is an official si available all day that item shows as does notes under availability. Games assigned for that day already do not show up in this export, you have to run over the icon on the availability screen. Cumbersome. Thank you for consideration.

Search for other umpires
there should be a link with all umpires information, phone number, email so that if an umpire needs to find a replacement they can click the link and start calling umpires.
3 votesThis feature already exists. The Members Directory provides a full list of the officials in your organization and their contact information, assuming you’ve been granted permission to view that list by your organization.
