This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Allow for TBA only assignments
Allow for TBA only assignments because this is not a full time job with benefits or any guarantees of a job. In fact you have to pay to be a referee and this app allows the assignors to keep your work history. So you think it is a great flexible job to have until you find out that they are tracking everything you do and if you mess up you are not able to be forgiven yet you paid all that money but can't get jobs that work for your schedule and you can't get your money back from USA…

Allow declines to be forgiven if a person messes up within a certain amount of time
Allow declines to be forgiven, erased and not seen by the assignors if a person messes up within a certain amount of time and needs to decline. So that the mistake is not held against the referee who paid money to be able to ref and was required to become a level 2 after year 2 of refereeing but now cannot get any games because Horizon keeps record of everything and now a ref can't get any jobs after paying $155.00 to become a level 2. 1 voteThere is no "penalty" for declines in our software, so there is nothing within the software to "forgive" within the software. If your officiating organization has policies beyond this, you'll need to work with them directly for guidance on their policies.

Show payment info on all assignments (not just TBA)
Show payment info on all assignments (not just TBA) as games are different price ranges & it gets very expensive to drive, get ready & drive home for only 1 game assignment that you have to wait 1 full month to see the money in your bank account!

ineligible officials
When looking at "ineligible officials", schedulers should be able to see if an official is already working and what location they are at. All of this info is available for "available" officials and should be for unavailable officials too. We have at least 4-5 different Horizion associations in the area and most officials do not share their availability across all Horizion calendars.

blocked rink list to remove those rinks from the TBA list
If I recall, previously when we used Horizon for scheduling, the "Block Rink" feature would also remove the blocked rinks from the TBA list so we do not need to weed through games at rinks that we have set to be blocked from.
1 voteAt this time, we've decided not to incorporate this idea and allow TBA senders to continue to control & determine recipients of their requests. If you'd like to be excluded or remove from their distribution list, please contact the sender.

Add the option to add mileage from the initial assigning window.
Add the option of adding mileage to certain officials in the initial assigning window with a drop down menu, instead of having to go back to the game details screen. This used to be a feature last year that my assignors loved, but it seems to have disappeared.
1 voteThis functionality already exists, and we have not changed this. So long as the location is set to collect & track mileage, the proper and recommend way to add mileage is from the assigning window, not after the fact. Although, you certainly can add it after thr fact, it's not recommended as a routine practice.

Emailing groups in the directory
When you click the plus button to email a whole group it does not select the entire group. You have to click the all button at the top then the plus button. The plus button should automatically select all. Please make this fix.

I did select "add new team" but the software changed the name uploaded to a "partial match" which isn't correct and causes additional oversi
That needs fixed- the team name uploaded was "Dynamo" and the software changed it to an over 40 team O40 Pgh Dynamo, playing an under 12 team........

location block feature should not be managed by league admins, this feature should be available to everyone regardless of Admin choice
Allow individuals users to add location blocks (mostly since you don't have a good system to save location filters to profile)... currently this feature must be turned on by admis for a group... but if I dont want to work at a location... why not allow users to block it regardless of admin desire?
1 voteThank you for submitting idea. Unfortunately, we've decided not to incorporate this request. We leave management responsibilities up to individual officiating organizations to allow them to manage their business practices at their discretion. We recommend you contact your officiating organization if you'd like them to enable the Location Block List feature for their organization.
This feature is ON by default, so if it is off, your organization must have explicitly decided to turn it off.

Adds a field on official records that state whether an official is a referee, timekeeper or both. Longstanding issue
Add field on everyone’s HorizonWebRef’s record to identify if person is referee, timekeeper or both to make it easier to identify who does what. Need asap as a request has gone on for this years ago

Have the ability to delete a user without removing their name from previous games
I have officials/umpires that want to leave the association, but if their account is deleted all history is removed including game assignments. payroll etc. At least have a way to deactivate their access and notifications.
1 voteThis functionality already exists. Removing a member from an organization does not delete their previous game assignments. All previous game assignments are always retained when a member is removed from an organization.

Add Group Text button inside an assignment for officials to create a group text
This is very similar to the idea in https://horizonwebref.uservoice.com/forums/66397-feature-suggestions/suggestions/36052912-contact-crew-by-sms that is in the Assignors and Schedulers area, but this would be more specific for officials assigned to a specific game. We have the ability to text a single member of the crew but do not have the ability to create a group text to communicate with all members of the crew. This would be very helpful for members of the crew to communicate with each other before or after assignments.
3 votesThis already exists. This functionality is currently available through our Android apps. At this time, Apple does not allow iOS apps to initiate group texts, so until Apple loosens that restriction, we're unable to bring that functionality to our iOS apps. The functionality is already built, but iOS restrictions prohibit its use.

Allow the assignor to pull a mass availability report for a specific date or date range
I would like to pull a report to see all referees availability for a specific date or date range and be able to export it to a file. I am assigning for a large event and would like to see all referees availability for the entire day. This would be helpful

Recurring availability range setup no less than 8 months
Date range option equal to or greater than 8 months selectable range.

Add a Column in the schedule view to see the Position
It would make my life easier if, when viewing the schedule, I could see my position, referee, and linesperson. Add position to details.

Enable support for additional MFA options. Yubikey, Lastpass, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.
Support for additional MFA options to allow people to use the one with which they are familiar. To be secure shouldn't require people to be locked down to Google if they are already using a different product, as the end goal is better security.
3 votesThis functionality already exists. Our MFA system is not limited to Google Authenticator. This is just one of the most well known applications for this purpose that we provide as an example.
Our MFA feature supports any authenticator app that provides OTP (One-Time Password) codes and can be initialize via a QR Code. That includes, but is not limited to, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, LastPass Authenticator, Duo Mobile, 1Password, FreeOTP, Authenticator Plus, and many others.

Is it possible to see the rinks the official is at during the day in addition to the last rink of the day?
When looking at the schedule of officials, a scheduler can see that a certain official is already on other games by the red triangle with the exclamation point. However, only the last rink is visible. In the example below, the official is at South Suburban – Rink 1
This is an extreme example of someone who is already on many games in one day, but they are not at the same rink all day long. Option for referees to bid on Games
Presently all referees can see the weekly games schedule under my schsdule.
Suggest an option be added once a referee views this schedule, he or she should be able to bid on this game.
This would be useful for younger referees.
Have an option only 5 people can bid and the Assignr can decide who to award the game to1 voteThis functionality already exists via the TBA System.
