This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Need an Eligible/Ineligible "switch"
The Eligible option would be used to indicate officials that have completed all registration & screening requirements. If Ineligible, the official would not appear as available on the assigning screens.

Show notation when official looks at assignment, but doesn't accept/decline
Show a different color for when an official had come into their schedule and looking at their game but neither accepted or declined game yet.

Changes officials' position without removing them
Add a feature that will allow you to switch officials position once an official has been assigned ie....change an official from a referee to a linesman. Now you have to delete the official and add him back in under a linesman from a referee
86 votesThis feature has been completed. You can now quickly change the assigned position of an official without the need to completely remove them and then re-assign them. To quickly change positions, simply click on the position icon next to the official’s name on the Master Schedule. This will display the Position Change option to quickly switch them to a different position. See the System Update page for additional details. Thank you.

See the end time in the mobile app
I suggest that you create a feature that enables you to see the beginning and end time in the mobile app. You can see this in the desktop version by hovering the mouse over the event time, but not in the web app. Our staff are hesitant to pick up events if they do not know the time commitment. Changing this would improve the software for our personnel, and I’m sure many of your other customers.

Auto Link Games based on time, location and level
Seems that you should be able to assume linking games based on the start/stop times, league, rink and game code/level. Maybe show a suggested link and then allow the scheduler to confirm/edit.

Allows e-mail sender to look at past correspondance,
I sometime can't remember all the e-mails I've sent through the system to individual users. It would be good if I could review sent messages and re-send, etc.
65 votesThis has been completed. Messages sent using the Messaging tab on the system will now be stored for later viewing for up to 1 year. Senders can return to the Messaging tab and view sent messages using the option menu at the top of the page. This feature is not retroactive so only messages sent going forward will be stored. Default assigning window sort
Currently the Game Allocation window brings up officials alphabetically as the default sort... can we have an option in Preferences to decide what the default sort is... I would like to select distance to the venue as my default

Don't allow officials to respond to TBA requests when they are scheduled in a game at the same time
The TBA system currently allows officials to respond to TBAs even when they are scheduled in another game at the same time. They don't come up on the assigning screen, but it is misleading to the official requesting the assignment.

Mass Text Message Capability
Would like the ability to send a mass text message like the email feature. Can we have the option when sending a message to include their text message address?

iPhone App
granted it's simple to use on a device right now, it would be even easier if it was app style so we could get push notifications and be able to quickly access our info on horizon without having to go on the internet and log in

Allow games to be "Postponed"
I would like an ability to mark games as postponed. Currently, it appears if a game is scheduled my only option is to cancel the game or change game date/time. I would like to have an option to mark the game postponed. That way I do not lose the officials scheduled to that game nor does the game get billed. But later I can identify a new time for the rescheduled game. This occurs due to weather cancellations and such.

You may also use the Schedule Filters to search specifically for a few of the key cancellations reasons such as weather and postponement to quickly reschedule those games using our regular rescheduling methods. Filter TBA by manual rank
Our association includes adult league's which only about 1/6 of the total population of officials work.
When an official puts an adult game up for TBA, any official is allowed to put in for it's TBA. This creates confusion and more work in the long run. It would make sense if ONLY the adult pool officials (as defined by either manual rank or in game code / league type) would be able to A) see the game in the public filter or B) have the option to submit a request for that TBA.

Customize amount of time that a turnback request is accepted
Right now you cannot turn back an assignment within 24 hours, we would like to be able to adjust that amount of time to say 36-48 hours.

Emergency Contact Information
Add a section on the members profile page for emergency contact information

Emergency Contact Number -We had an official get hurt last weekend and we didn't have anyway of contacting someone to inform them of the situation

Show # of Official Positions on Public Schedule
Add a column that shows the # of officials assigned to a game on the public schedule.
Ex:
0/2
1/2
2/2
etc...This would allow officials browsing the public games to see if there are any games that have still not been filled.

Reason for game cancellation
It would be a benefit to have a listing on a cancelled game telling the scheduler why a game from 2 weeks ago was cancelled.

Observation Ratings Sent to Officials
Would it be possible to send the rating directly to the official being rated, as well as the Assignor and Observers?

Game Day e-mail
How about making the 'Assignment Today' e-mail have all games assigned for that official on that day in 1 e-mail. Sorted by game timem this can really reduce the inbox clutter.
24 votesThe system will now only send 1 reminder per association, per assignor for your “assignment today” emails. Previously, as you know, if an assignor in an organization scheduled you to 3 games in one day, you would get 3 emails on the game day to remind you. Now you should receive 1 email per assignor which will contain all your games for that day. This change will begin starting with tomorrow’s email reminders (June 8, 2013). Thanks for the idea!

Allow Team & League Personnel to run payroll reports
Each team and/or league personnel should have access to a payroll report so they can run payroll without the assignor needing to run the report and sending it to them.
In a league with 15 teams, this is a tremendous amount of extra work I would have to do. It would be much easier if each team treasurer could login and get that information themselves.

21 votesThis is now complete. Coaches and Athletic Directors now have access to generate their own Billing Invoices and/or Payroll Reports. You may enable (or disabled) Billing Invoices and Payroll Reports separately, depending on how much access you want to provide. The new options can be turned on in your System Settings and are currently labeled Feature #26 and Feature #27. A formal System Update regarding this new feature will be published in the near future.
