You already provide for syncing TO Google Calendar.
One great addition to this, albeit not trivial, would be to use the data in your Google Calendar to automatically set your availability.
You could allow for rules to be user defined.
So I could say, if I have an event in my Google Calendar, I'm not available 2 hours before or 2 hours after.
This would help, a lot!35 votes
Unfortunately, we will likely not be incorporating this anytime in the near future due to the complications that can arise from this option. We’re going to keep the idea, though, because we like it and hope someday we can make it happen. Thanks!
I would like to be able to have a notes section or some sort of Division so that I can choose which division a team is in.
I have Men, Coed, and Womens all of whom have a Division 1, 2, etc. A notes section would be great. That way I could put division in teh notes or perhaps let the umpire know that this is a play in game and a winner is needed.11 votes
Unfortunately, we’ve decided not to incorporate this idea at this time. We intend to keep our current organizational structure for the time being. Thank you for submitting an idea!

1) keep schedule filter the same when exiting the system, I don't want to have to change the filter every time I enter the system.10 votes
As the previous commenter has pointed out, this feature does already exist in that you can specify a “default schedule filter” setting in your personal profile so you don’t need to constantly change the schedule filters. Additionally, we’ve recently added a couple of quick buttons to help make jumping to common dates easier. Thank you for the idea.
Give the option to not require officials to re-accept an assignment (once previously accepted) when minor changes are made (i.e. position, game fees, etc...)7 votes
This functionality already exists, but we recognize that there is certainly some room for debate on what is considered a “minor change”. At this time, we only require re-acceptance on changes that we do not consider to be minor. At this time, we are not in favor of changing our classifications on what constitutes a “minor change”.
Our youth association is using g-mail schedules for the various levels. Is there a method of importing these into our system?7 votes
Unfortunately since there is much more information needed when scheduling games we have decided to decline this idea at this time. We will keep it on our radar if we can determine an easy way to accomplish this in the future. Thank you for the idea.
On the assigning game screen, show/visible USA hockey level.0(no level) thru 4. This would allow for leagues/teams to see if referees are certified for that level of hockey.7 votes
This functionality already exists through the use of the Manual Ranking System which is intended for exactly this purpose. I recommend reaching out to Live Chat if you’re unsure on how to get started with Manual Rankings.
Supervisors should not have access to the members directory6 votes
Unfortunately, we’ve decided not to incorporate this feature at this time. Thank you for submitting an idea!
We need to print out 1099 MISC forms to send to each official, it would be great to install a process in Horizons Web Ref program.6 votes
As we ae not tax experts, we don’t intend to directly offer 1099 services. We do, however, integrate with two fantastic outside providers that will easily generate 1099s based on exports from our system. This is the path we’ll continue on for the foreseeable future to ensure tax information is handled by tax experts.
I would like to suggest a report that will record and show declines by person over a selected period of time so that we can determine who are biggest offenders of turning back assignments are.5 votes
This functionality already exists via the Counters menu on the Master Game Schedule where you can see a list of declines and details for each official.
When assigning it would be very handy to be able to see an officials availability for that given day (or weekend) when you hover over his name or rank or somewhere.
Especially in the "Show unavailable officials" since sometimes they're being set to "unavailable" because of their manual rank and not their actual calendar.
This would alleviate having to click out of the assign view and into the calendar each time you want to check someones hours.5 votes
This exact feature already exists. There is a blue circle with a question mark to the left of the user’s name that will provide their availability from within the assigning window so you don’t need to exit and look at their calendar. Hope that helps. Thank you.
I can fairly easily now navigate around the site and don't need the pop-up help window to tell me what each of the features on the site are for. thank you.4 votes
We’ve decided not to incorporate this at this time. With a system as large as ours, it can take quite a while for users to reach every area we have to offer. Our inline help options provide instruction and guidance on the system and many users reach certain instructional items many years after they’ve been a user. Although we’re not in favor of this request, we’ll continue to evaluate the best ways to educate users on our system to improve our educational tools.
Allow league personnel to rate officials just like coaches and fellow officials can do.4 votes
We’ve decided not to incorporate this idea. We have other user types that are available that would be better suited for this scenario. Thank you for submitting an idea.
The acceptance and rejection of game buttons are very small and very close together. It would be very easy to hit the wrong button. Especially with fingers on a touch device.4 votes
Unfortunately, we’ve decided not to incorporate this at this time. Our touch device interfaces already feature larger icons and we don’t plan to change the desktop / laptop icon sizes at this time. Thanks for submitting an idea.
I have commitments outside of softball that affects my availability4 votes
After discussion with randomly selected schedulers in our system, we have decided not to incorporate this feature. Thank you for the suggestion, though.
Things change and the only way I communicate with the system is to unaccept a game -- its frustrating4 votes
As the anonymous commenter pointed out, the lockout is only created when your scheduler has started to edit your scheduler. The best idea is to contact your scheduler since changing your availability is going to throw a wrench in their scheduling process anyways. We have elected not to incorporate this request. Thank you for the suggestion, though.
I just added my teenage son's information for his new account. I would like to be able to add additional emails & cell phone information for both my wife and I, so that we can insure that we all get the information.4 votes
Unfortunately, we will not be enabling shared emails or phone numbers for security reasons to protect our system and our users’ identities.
Rather then using a numberic ability system, allow assignors to use a check box system to show what level each official is capable of working. This can be set up in the member director page.3 votes
I believe this feature already exists. If I understand your request correctly, you want to specify whether or not an official is eligible for a specific level. This can be accomplished using the Game Code block system. Likewise, you could also use the Position block system. This is essentially the exact same system you are proposing.
Is it possible to create just a link for coaches/association personal with no login required that just shows their game times/dates/location so they can confirm their game is scheduled to have referees
This way it can be just 1 generic link for each association
Or omit the phone # requirement when setting up a profile for these people would be a good alternative3 votes
We’ve decided not to incorporate this idea. Allowing coaches to view schedules without login is already an option via the Integrate My Website options & the Public Game Schedule. We’re not currently in favor of reducing our system security and phone number requirements at this time. Thank you for submitting an idea.
We have multiple assignors for the different positions. Ex: we have a referee assignor and a timkeeper assignor. It would be great if each assignor could submit their own TBA Requests. Currently, only one assignor can send out one TBA per game at a time. Which means TK's or Refs see TBA requests coming from someone who is not their regular assignor. Another option would be for assignors to ADD to the TBA Request rather than retracting and doing the TBA Request again.3 votes
This would prevent very senior officials from showing up when scheduling mite or squirt games for example.3 votes
This feature already exists, using our Manual Ranking system you can set minimum/maximum ranking levels to restrict the qualifications of officials that will display in your available officials list. Thanks!
