This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Include game payment when exporting
I export games to a .csv file, then import the file into my timekeeper games tracking software. But because the payment is not exported, I have to edit each of the imported games to enter the payment.

Find a Sub
On a previous system I was involved with, officials were able to click on a "Find Sub" link for their game assignments when/if they needed a replacement. What this option did was populate a list of officials who met the availability and rank requirements for the position to be skated rather than have to email the entire association. Would it be possible to incorporate such a feature?

view assigned resources on a map
capability to show where (on a map similar to where trainers are vs event locations) the resources are currently assigned ?
we use a company vehicle or treatment tables and would like to be able to assign them to particular events. the events have locations. but the resource list does not show the current location of resources. so schedulers can know if it makes sense to assign a particular resource to a particular event etc.
also assigning resources from the mobile app. not just desktop website.

allows you to see what position you're in for a game prior to accepting it.
It would be nice to allow people to see whether they are a referee or linesman when they receive their assignments to accept/decline.

Referee Fees on Game Schedule
As we use the Game Schedule Print option for our Venue Supervisors so they know which referees are on as it is a nicer report than just exporting to a spreadsheet, would it be possible for this report to include the referee game fees which would further assist our Venue Supervisors who pay our referees.

Payrole payment
you should have a place that when we are paid by the leagues that we are able to put on their payole and the same for the umpires. It is a very good sight but i find that it is importante to have

Enter important dates onto the calendar
I would like to see a feature that would allow us to enter important dates into the calendar. Such as availability required by dates or pay dates. We would then be able to set reminders for the dates.

please create a page to see the history of dates that one has worked to demonstrate hours worked. This may be helpful for graduation requirements or for other historical work data collection. Thank you

Copy and Paste Availablity
Funcationality to copy your availability if you have days within the month where your availability does not change from day to day. For instance, if you want to ref after work during the week, but know you don't get out till 6 each day. I want to set my schedule to be available after 7pm, without having to click 3 different tasks.
Think of it as a cell copy in excel, and you paste it throughout your calendar.

Simplify experience-based pay structure
In Melbourne, Australia our basketball referees are paid according to their grade (could be up to 7 grades) and then based on the league they are reffing in and then for one of our leagues can also be based on the game code (paid higher for doing Under 17 or higher). Therefore with the current way HorizonWebRef calculates pays we would need to set up what could be 7 positions for each league/game code combination. This is an absolute nightmare to administer and maintain as pay rates change. One of our leagues has over 140 games codes alone so you…

When assessing umpires, not all of the categories apply to all officials. It would be nice to have not applicable on the 1-10 scale.

download contacts to your phone from the app
Would be great to be able to click something to download someone's contact card to your phone from the app. simplifies the process of having to add people to your contacts via desktop & uploads

Post - Game form to include a URL link
We require our mentors to complete a post game report form on the mentorees. That form exists on our website and allows all schedulers to look at a Google Doc of everyone who has been mentored. I would like to be able to add that URL for the form be sent after the game with a reminder. The form needs only to go to the position = mentor. Can you modify another feature like your post game report feature to allow me to place a URL on it this going into next season?

Availability calender (desktop browser) looks confusing.
The entry fields for setting availability for a specific date are at the bottom of the box with a big gap between the fields and the actual date for it. There is no gap however between these entry fields and and the date for the following week. This lead to users changing the availability for the wrong date (the following week). I have done this and also know of others who have made this mistake.
To improve this move the fields to the top of the box next to their date display.

Allow customization of home page message to coaches/AD's
The generic welcome message on the home page for coaches and AD's is misleading (at least the way we are using the system), and for the most part unnecessary. Would like the ability to customize this message, same as I currently have for referee home page.
1 voteWe’ve decided not to incorporate message customizing at this time, however, we have altered the message that coaches see to be more dynamic. The message they see now describes exactly the permissions that are available to them, based on what you’ve enabled in your settings. This now allows them to see exactly what they can or cannot do on the system. Thank you for submitting an idea.

Sorting by City includes province/state, separate them please
When I use the sorting feature by city, the province/state is the first displayed (ie: ON - Capreol or ON - Sudbury). Since all my games are in ON, it would be easier to separate the province/state out of that column.
1 voteUnfortunately, this is something we’ve decided not to incorporate. The city sorting option sorts first by state/province, then by city name which is hugely beneficial for organizations that have officials in more than 1 state/province. Without this option, there would be no way to separate officials in different states. For organizations with officials all in the same state, this doesn’t provide any detriment, it is simply just additional information. We realize it may be unnecessary for your organization, but it is crucial for many. Thank you for submitting an idea.

Allow synchronizing to google calandars you don't own but have write access to
The current sync is a great feature however not ideal in my case:
We are a family of four with two referees. The other two members do other 'stuff' on the weekends, We share our weekend activities with each other on a common 'family calendar' we all have write access to. This make it much easier for all of us to organisation our cars, family time...
