Feature Suggestions
This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

have positions next to their name in the schedule
Add referee and linesman to the viewing options in the schedule?
1 voteThis feature already exists. You can choose your position viewing options using the schedule filters. Hope that helps. Thank you.

Range for availablity
Can you add a feature so that the availability cal can be updated for a Range of time rather than just a before or after?
1 voteThis feature already exists. Your options for availability are AVAILABLE ALL DAY, NOT AVAILABLE, AVAILABLE BETWEEN, NOT AVAILABLE BETWEEN, AVAILABLE BEFORE, AVAILABLE AFTER… These options will accomplish exactly what you’re looking to do.

Text reminders
When the text reminders go out it would be good to have not just the times but partner and game type
1 voteUnfortunately, text messages are limited to only 140 characters. This is a limit imposed by mobile carriers and not by us. Therefore, we cannot fit this type of information in a text message. There is simply, not enough room. Sorry.

allows viewing game data of any game even if games have not been accepted/declined.
I would like this option to be able to see who are the other assigned officials whether or not they have accepted or declined the game.
1 voteThis feature already exists and is controlled by your scheduler. You’ll need to talk to your scheduler if the feature is not enabled.

Some games require a direct reason when declining a game. Additionally, declining a game should be a rare occurrence when using the system properly, as you should almost never get a game you don’t want. To deter users from simply forgetting to update their calendar, blocks or other areas we are declining this idea as we don’t want to make it easy to decline games. We would prefer that users use the tools available to avoid having to decline games at all. Thank you for the idea, though.

Flashing banners
Any thing that flashes at you is irritating, I suggest using colors to catch the eye instead.
1 voteAt this time we only use flashing in two locations for System Updates and System Reminders, both of which we consider essential information. We’ll look for alternative options in the future, however, at this time we find the flashing to be the most effective for getting the attention of all our users, when necessary. Thank you for the idea.

Mobile version
I would like to see a mobile version of Horizon Ref Web.
1 voteThere is already a mobile version of our system and has been one for quite some time. It will generally automatically take you there if you’re using a widely recognized mobile device like an Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, or similar device. If not, there is an option at the bottom of the page to manually use the mobile version. The mobile version can even be used on a desktop computer if you wanted, although it’s not recommended.

Change availability once games are assigned
If I have a assignment on a saturday at 10 am and If I have to change my availability Because I am asigned another game for 5 pm that same day (not through Horizon) cannot make myself unavailable and end up declining games.
1 voteThis feature already exists and is controlled by your scheduler. Your scheduler can turn on/off this feature at their discretion so you would need to contact them about their preferences in running your organization. Hope that helps.

A way to merge Calendar from competitors website
A way to merge your competitors availability Calendars and HorizonWebRefs calendar
1 voteAlthough this is a great idea, our competitors are not so willing to allow us to create a feature like this. We’ll keep this in the back of our minds, however, we’re declining this idea since the reality is that we will most likely not be able to create a feature like this. Unfortunately, it is beyond our control. Thanks for the idea.

google calendar
Did you remove this feature ?
1 voteWe have not made any changes to this feature and it is still readily available and used by many.

We have decided not to incorporate this feature, mostly due to space limitations. The reminders box is present on both the desktop and mobile versions of the system. Including day of the week and venue would overcrowd the reminders box in our opinion. The intent of the reminders box is to provide a short and right to the point reminder and allow you to pull full information from the main location – in this case, the schedule page. Thank you for the idea, though.

Auto decline if unaccepted past 72 hours
Automatic decline a game if that game hasn't been accepted within 72 hours of it being published. We have people that leave the game unaccepted till the last min. I usually have to call them to see if they are doing it.
1 voteThis exact feature already exists and is available in your System Settings.

Schedule Filter
Straigten out schedule filter feature which doesn't work properly
1 voteThere are no issues we are currently tracking or that have been reported on the use of the schedule filters. If you are having trouble with them, please open a support ticket by using Get Help >> Step #4 with a detailed explanation of the issue(s) and we can have someone look at it immediately for you. In the meantime, this isn’t really a new feature request, so we are declining the idea. Thank you.

Currently our training is provided to your system administrator who is responsible for distributing that to their organization. This is mostly because every organization runs their system differently so it is difficult for us to train all user individually since we are often not involved in the day-to-day use of your system and the scheduling tendencies of your organization. We gladly provide free support and training to all system administrators. We do work hard to create multiple tutorials, system notifications, videos, support topics, manuals and other self-help tools available to you whenever you have a question on how something works and will continue to develop these in the future. However, most of our tools will either be direct training to system administrators only or self-help tools to the rest of the user base. Thanks for the idea.

Blocks for part of day after accepting a game for that day
Once an official accepts a game on a given day there needs to be a way to enter back into that day and do a partial block for that day.
1 voteThis feature already exists and is controlled by your schedule and/or system administrator. Thank you.

Shows only games umpired for the current year to the end of the season
Create for the individual umpire, the ability to select a date period that can display and/or print out as desired, all games umpired by that same umpire, during any time of the year, up to the day before the current date.
1 voteThis feature already exists. You can specify any date range you’d like to see using the Schedule Filters. Thank you for submitting and idea, though.
