Feature Suggestions
This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Official Contact Information in Yellow Icon
When clicking on yellow icon for officials, have the contact information(phone number) for that official appear.
1 voteI’m not sure I fully understand this feature request, but the yellow icon you are referring to is indicating Position, not officials. In any case, though, coaches already have access to contact information for officials (if turned on in your system settings) and can obtain that by viewing the game details. Hope that helps. Thank you for the idea.

Our system already provides directions automatically to your game locations. Thank you for the feature request, though.

PLease add "Profile" to the right hand menu
PLease add "profile" to the menu instead of that little pencil icon. I find it way to hard to find
1 voteThis already exists. You can find your personal profile by clicking the edit pencil next to your name at the top of the right hand menu. The profile is also found in various other areas like the Administrative Forms or the Members Directory so it can be found in many places. Unfortunately, we won’t be adding it as a main object on the navigation menu as it is not a core feature, but rather a setting. Thank you for the idea, though.

Rather than have to open each TBA seperately. list the date and venue in the subject.
Opening 10 or 12 extra emails each day only to find out it is a date I am already working is frustrating and time consuming. I should bve able to open only the dates I am available for and delete the rest.
1 voteI’m not sure I fully understand your request, because a TBA email when sent to officials will include a list of a number of games. Putting the date & venue in the subject is not possible, because a TBA email could contain hundreds of games in the email, depending on how many the user submitted for TBAs. Hope that answers your question. Thank you for the idea, though.

Allows Managers to remove an umpire
I have had two games that only had one umpire show up although two are still listed. Originally, I only rated the umpire that arrived, but after the endless barrage of emails every day, I had to go back and give the other umpire a rating that he did not deserve, just to stop the emails...
1 voteWe have decided not to incorporate this. Managers accounts are free accounts and are very limited. Additionally, there is a whole world of problems that could arise by allowing managers to remove umpires. Only schedulers will be allowed to control assignments. Thank you for the idea, though.

Once a game is scheduled, allow an official to block out time on the same day
A game is assigned say at 9AM. So the official makes plans for the evening like 4pm. We need to be able to block out from 3pm on, even if a game is scheduled. Moreso, this helps if a game is removed and the assignor wants to move you to a different time, or add games to your day. I have had several instances where I have made plans based on the schedule, only to have games taken off, then doubles or triples put on the same day when there are conflicts later in the day.
1 voteThis feature already exists. This is controlled by your scheduler and they can opt to turn this feature off, if they desire. Thank you.

sets availability default setting to "available."
As it is now, I have to individually change the setting to "available" for every single day, except on those days when I'm unavailable. Or maybe there is a way for me to do this myself, although I haven't found one.
1 voteUnfortunately, this is not something we will be incorporating. We have done extensive research on this topic and have found that by setting the default to UNAVAILABLE it makes much less work for the schedulers. You can use the recurring availability adjuster to update more than just 1 day at a time if you want. You can also use this to set yourself as available all the time. The default, however, will remain UNAVAILABLE. Thank you for the idea, though.

blind email distribution
the ability to send emails without others seeing the emails. This would prevent pirating of email distribution list
1 voteThis feature already exists. All emails are blindly distributed. Thank you.

Blocking coaches from sending mass emails
users are using the email function to send unauthorized emails promoting non approved events or soliciting others to participate in unapproved programs.. Programs that are not approved by system administrator.
1 voteThis feature already exists. You can prevent mass emails by limiting the number of recipients allowed in an email message. This is a setting in your System Settings. Thank you.

We have not made any changes to the Google Calendar integration. The feature is still available as it always has been and is still an option in your Personal Profile. Nothing has changed. Hope that helps.

ability to list all games assigned after they have scrolled off the system
I am trying to generate a list of my games but they have all removed from the "game schedule" option to confirm what I actually umpired.
1 voteThis feature already exists. You can view just about any date range you’d like by adjusting your schedule filters. Thank you.

White background please :-)
Hi there,
The black background makes it really hard to read the print-outs, and they make very dark, grainy copies.
Thanks!
Robyn1 voteWe do not control the system colors. Our default colors include a blue background, however, your scheduler can choose and modify the system colors to their own preferences. You’ll need to talk with them about their color preference. Hope that helps. Thank you for submitting, though.

"Home" option
Hi there,
Can we add a "home" option for games?
Thanks,
Robyn1 voteI’m not sure we understand this idea. What would this “home” option do? What’s the purpose? Is this for adding games? Searching for games? Please explain the request in full detail so we can consider it or point you to a feature that already exists. Thank you.

give a .ics calendar link so people can copy into calendars
I would like to be given a link to my schedule so I can have my schedule download it into my calendar
1 voteThis feature already exists. ICS files are readily available for all users using the iCal option at the top of your schedule page. Thank you for the idea, though.

event cancelled or rescheduled ahead of time - notice
when an event has been booked and members have accepted the event but then the event is cancelled or rescheduled it would be nice to still show the event but mark as cancelled or changed not just have it removed from system.
1 voteThis already exists. Cancelled games are not deleted from the system, as long as you mark the game as “Cancelled” and not just flat out delete the game. Deleting the game using the actual delete button is the only way a game is removed from the system. A canceled game is still in your system and still readily accessible. Officials and coaches still see the game no problem. For schedulers, the game (by default) does hide from your schedule since you presumably, won’t be doing any scheduling a cancelled game. However, you can easily view it by changing your schedule filters and allow canceled games to be displayed. Hope that helps. Thank you.

move the new feature request
cannot see the verbiage on the screen because the new feature request section is covering up part of the screen
1 voteIf this item is covering items on your screen, it is because your screen resolution is too small. You should see approximately 1 inch of a buffer zone on both the left and side side of the website. You will either need to make sure your browser window is in full screen or change your computer’s resolution. We recommend at least 1400w, but anything over 1200w should be sufficient. Thank you.

Public Schedule
Add the option to stop the viewing of public schedule.
1 voteThis feature already exists. You can turn off the public schedule in your System Settings using features #19 and #20. Thank you.

allows refs to block portions of days that already have games assigned to it.
Schedulers would benefit from this feature because they wouldn't waste time assigning games to officials that have other commitments on days that they've already accepted games. Officials would benefit because they wouldn't have to decline games for those days, and also it looks bad to decline assignments due to unavailability.
Officials are currently given the option to block a portion of any given day prior to accepting assignments, but please re-consider giving us this option for days that already have accepted assignments on them. It would save time for all!
1 voteThis feature already exists. The locked days on your availability calendar are due to an optional feature that your scheduler has decided to use. Your scheduler has the ability to turn this off, if they desire, which would give you the ability to edit days that already have games assigned to them. So your scheduler is the one preventing you from updating those days, not us. Thank you for the submission, though.

Document acknowledgement
I would like to send out rules or code of conduct policies that require signature that they have read and accepted the terms. Could a feature be added to handle this through Horizon?
1 voteThis feature already exists. You may enter a policy / code of conduct / rules document to your system settings and require users to sign off on it annually. Thank you for submitting an idea, though.
