Feature Suggestions
This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Same last name and first initial.
Lists the second initial of the first name when last names and first initials are the same.
1 voteThe system is unable to detect other elements on a page, i.e. if there is already another name on the page with the same first and last names/initials. However, we have just added additional functionality so that if your mouse if placed over the top of the name in question, the full name will be quickly displayed in order for you to quickly learn the full name of the official in these situations. Hopefully that should help sort out any confusion.

Emailing through selections list
There needs to be something that allows you to click one button and send an email to all the officials working in a selections list. Like if you wanted to email all thirty people working a showcase for one particular weekend you could go in and find those games in a selections list and click a button and send them an email. Letting coaches have access to the document section
We post a lot of good information such as rules clarifications and helpful documents to these sections that both coaches and directors would benefit from. Perhaps making it an optional feature for each group would work best.

Download Game Notes
The ability to download game notes to excel. Adding that field to the master game schedule download to excel report would be good.

Would like the rankings to be a factor in games where the officials have out it for a TBA.
Currently, when officials put out a game(s) for TBA, the system doesn't screen the responses based on their rankings, even though the system does it for the scheduler. I would like to see it extended to general member TBA's to help prevent an official from getting a game that is way over their heads, which has happened a couple of time within the last month.

Availability change (official) should be effective immediately; remove "Update Availability" button.
When an official changes the availability on a day, the change should just be applied in real-time without having to click the "Update Availability" button. Too many problems currently exist today where officials forget to click the button and the change does not get applied. If the change is immediate and the official made a mistake, the official can just change the availability again.

Game Alerts
If an official has been removed from an assignment for whatever reason and a new official assigned, an email notification should be sent to the remaining officials on the crew. For example, "something has changed with your upcoming assignment."
Also, you should be able to choose which notifications you would like to receive in each provided communication. Ie: check each box for each of the following: Game Reminder, New Game, New Event, Game Change, Unassigned, Event Reminder.
Have a table set up for which notifications you would like to have sent to your email(s) and/or cell phone(s).

Allow officials to be seen by coaches only on game day, not in advance
It would be nice if we could publish assignments to the officials, but not allow coaches to see them until the day of their game. This could avoid complaints received prior to the game.

Master Schedule Link to Today's Games
Create a button or link on the master schedule to easily take the assignor back to today's date/games after performing other searches.

The feature adds a reset button to the schedule filter which will allow you to quickly jump back to your original schedule filter setting. Generally, this should allow you to jump back to today’s date if that is your default schedule filter.

We have increased the availability note capacity to 30 characters. A formal system update will be published on the system shortly.

Un-Request TBA
Allow officials to un-request a game if they are no longer available on that date. TBA requests currently overide days they have blocked out. This causes un-neccesary assignments to officials that are not available when they once were.

iCalendar integration
When a game is accepted, allow the game to automatically be downloaded to the officials online calendar like Google ot Yahoo.

We are looking into options to integrate the Yahoo Calendar, however, their integration tools for their latest calendar version are barely existent. We will continue to explore Yahoo integration options, however, we may need to wait until Yahoo releases more integration options before we can utilize their calendar as well.

When assigning games add column for games scheduled that month.
The tool counting total games is great, possibly adding a column for games in a current month?

New Availability Graphical Matrix View
It would be fantastic for a graphical matrix view where it lists all officials down the rows and 31 small columns in a grid view that are color coded to show availability as Green (all day), Blue (partial), Red (none that day). It would help at a single glance see what officials are making themselves mostly available. The current excel export does not allow for a simple glance to see this and it would help an assignor understand who hasn't even bothered to make themselves available or those who are just being lazy putting every day available only to later…

A Graphical Trendline/Timeline (line chart) of game Assignments by Official
Again this feature would be great to have a quick visual to see overall how the assignor has been distributing games to help "smooth" out the distribution instead of just having a "balanced" overall season end of total games for each official, yet may have had major peaks/valley's (30 games one month, 2 the next, etc). Again, both Excel output for printing as well as online so can be used by smart devices without excel.

Add game codes and official positions to the payroll report
On the payroll report it is really plain and only shows the actual games that an official has completed but that is it. I need to know exactly what level each official has done and whether they were the referee and linesman.

Audit Trail Report (by Official) for each decline and turnback.
It would be very helpful to keep the history by official for each decline and turnback so you can monitor behaviors of these officials and see at a glance who the problem one's are.

A way to use "team blocking" for officials without allowing THEM to use the blocking feature.
This is very important when needing to block officials from calling "siblings" or relatives games, but don't want them to be able to also be picky and block teams where they don't like coaches, players, etc.

Adjust the assignment analysis export tool
We would greatly appreciate it if you could adjust the assignment analysis (home and away) exports to work within the schedule filters. The major reason for this is that we really only need the assignment analysis for the regular season – not necessary at all for the exhibition and in the playoffs we don’t really worry about this report at that time either.
“Part 2” of this request (in a perfect world) would be to allow the admin to extract only referees instead of the complete list of officials that are exported. What I maen to explain here is that…
