Support for additional MFA options to allow people to use the one with which they are familiar. To be secure shouldn't require people to be locked down to Google if they are already using a different product, as the end goal is better security.

This functionality already exists. Our MFA system is not limited to Google Authenticator. This is just one of the most well known applications for this purpose that we provide as an example.
Our MFA feature supports any authenticator app that provides OTP (One-Time Password) codes and can be initialize via a QR Code. That includes, but is not limited to, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, LastPass Authenticator, Duo Mobile, 1Password, FreeOTP, Authenticator Plus, and many others.
