Feature Suggestions
This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

Allow an official or assignor choose "minimum" game level for an official.
This would prevent very senior officials from showing up when scheduling mite or squirt games for example.
3 votesThis feature already exists, using our Manual Ranking system you can set minimum/maximum ranking levels to restrict the qualifications of officials that will display in your available officials list. Thanks!

Allow officials to confirm a game by clicking on a link within the email
To allow officials to respond quicker and confirm a game by simple click of a link within an email stating "Accept" or "Reject" and eliminate the requirement to actual go log into the website and navigate. Would make it more usable/efficient to confirm games via smartphones.
1 voteUnfortunately, we have decided not to incorporate this idea. We would prefer that users accept/decline by logging into the system fully. This way, if there is something that a user has been neglecting, we can remind and/or force them to complete the item. We have, however, made it easier and more mobile-friendly to accept/decline assignments. Thank you for the idea.

Decrease homepage reminders width to allow more room for messages from the Administrator
The reminders box should just scroll and allow more room for messages on the main page without it having to scroll. Might be a nice "option" for Admin to select to have forum on main page or a menu option appear for Forum to be it's own page.

Allow Forum Posting edits by the originator
If you create a forum post, have the ability to "edit" it.

Need for a MASTER "private" switch to turn off all officials and phones so they can't enable them.
The Assignor may not want ANY officials to have the individual ability to ENABLE their email or phone to be visible when updating their profile. Such that it greys out their option while showing the "block" box next to the private box checked (another feature request)
1 voteWe’ve decided against incorporating a “Master Switch” for privacy settings and instead opted to allow officials to control their own privacy as they desire. Today, we’ve added the ability for officials to mark their addresses as private which is in addition to the existing options we already have for marking phone numbers and email addresses private as well.

We have decided not to incorporate this option. For spacing saving an icon is required to display the position. You can also view the position from the Game Details page which will list the position and the position of your partners in one screen.

Highlight games already passed in a different color so it's easier to see what games are next
When seeing your game schedule, it shows all of your games for the month. Highlighting the games that you have already done will help see which game is next.

10 votesAs the previous commenter has pointed out, this feature does already exist in that you can specify a “default schedule filter” setting in your personal profile so you don’t need to constantly change the schedule filters. Additionally, we’ve recently added a couple of quick buttons to help make jumping to common dates easier. Thank you for the idea.

Have an override on "locked out" when your availability has changed
Things change and the only way I communicate with the system is to unaccept a game -- its frustrating
4 votesAs the anonymous commenter pointed out, the lockout is only created when your scheduler has started to edit your scheduler. The best idea is to contact your scheduler since changing your availability is going to throw a wrench in their scheduling process anyways. We have elected not to incorporate this request. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

Field Phone Number
The phone number in the "Enter New Field" should only be one text box. It's additional work to tab between 3 boxes and the time adds up when you have to enter many fields (I have almost 300 to upload)

Change entry of Canadian postal codes
Canadian postal codes are separated into 2 parts: A#A #A#
Post office prefers this format. Can they be entered that way into members' addresses?1 voteThe system already accepts this format and displays Canadian postal codes in the format you specified.

Allow Athletic Directors and Coaches to have a Role
Add an optional field that identifies the contact's role, for example an Athletic Director may be the "AD" or an "Administrative Assistant".
Same for coaches, may be "Head Coach", or "Assistant Coach"
This could be displayed on the Mini Profile, possibly on the Members page.

Disable Payment Center if organization is not using it.
If an organization is not using Payment Center, disable the menu item. Possibly configurable from the System Settings.

Enhance the Game Level feature
I would like to have an ability feature to be able to distinguish levels of comp
for example. I do slowpitch softball. I have different levels A-B-C-D. I also have Men, Women, Coed teams. I would like to be able to choose Sex and game level without havin to combine them in the current game level.

Allows fof tracking of background check / certification
I am wondering if there is a way that as the assignor I can create or enable somehow the ability to check off officials that have completed certain requirements. For instance, background checks are currently required of officials, as they are completed I am typing a "note", however it would be easier to click a check box near there name in the member directory.

Add Cacneled game info to text messages
Add cancled game information to text message alerts. It's importing for officials in route to know which game is being canceled without having to pull over and log into HWR.
0 votesUnfortunately, this is not possible. Text messages are limited to only 140 characters of information. This is a limit imposed by mobile carriers, not us. So we simply do not have enough room to include that information in text messages. We do, however, include the information in the email notification that is sent out as well so users who receive email on their phone will have the information at their fingertips without needing to login.
