A feature that handles this is already available, but it must be setup by your scheduler. I recommend contacting your scheduler to have them activate the feature(s). Thank you for the idea, though.

This information is available using the "Custom Profile Fields" "Certification" or "Official ID" options of the Mini Profile. Hope that helps. Thank you.

Your statement below is not quite accurate. Though I agree it might take up too much room, the system has NO way to store (on the member profile) any information regarding number of years or "year started reffing" to get a sense of seniority. This would be helpful.

This information is available easily (to schedulers only) by clicking the user's name and displaying their Mini Profile. We will most likely leave this available only in the mini profile just in the interest of saving space on the directory.
