This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

usa hockey level show value on assigning screen
On the assigning game screen, show/visible USA hockey level.0(no level) thru 4. This would allow for leagues/teams to see if referees are certified for that level of hockey.

Adding multiple emails & phone numbers to one account
I just added my teenage son's information for his new account. I would like to be able to add additional emails & cell phone information for both my wife and I, so that we can insure that we all get the information.

Add a Column in the schedule view to see the Position
It would make my life easier if, when viewing the schedule, I could see my position, referee, and linesperson. Add position to details.

Enable support for additional MFA options. Yubikey, Lastpass, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.
Support for additional MFA options to allow people to use the one with which they are familiar. To be secure shouldn't require people to be locked down to Google if they are already using a different product, as the end goal is better security.
3 votesThis functionality already exists. Our MFA system is not limited to Google Authenticator. This is just one of the most well known applications for this purpose that we provide as an example.
Our MFA feature supports any authenticator app that provides OTP (One-Time Password) codes and can be initialize via a QR Code. That includes, but is not limited to, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, LastPass Authenticator, Duo Mobile, 1Password, FreeOTP, Authenticator Plus, and many others.

Expand Availability Calendars to 2 years in the future
In the competitive field of assigning 2 years is an absolute necessity nowadays
3 votesUnfortunately, we’ve decided not to incorporate this idea. We feel that it’s very difficult, if not impossible, for users to truly know what their plans are on a daily basis for a date 2 years in the future. Scheduling assignments is still allowed, we just won’t be collecting availability that far out. Thanks for submitting an idea.

When the option to change my availability has been locked, screen should state that.
When MS introduced greyed out menu options it drove us all mad, and still does. "You can look but you can't touch." Horizon goes yet another step and doesn't even show the availability option greyed out when Availability has been locked by the Scheduler.

Add Group Text button inside an assignment for officials to create a group text
This is very similar to the idea in https://horizonwebref.uservoice.com/forums/66397-feature-suggestions/suggestions/36052912-contact-crew-by-sms that is in the Assignors and Schedulers area, but this would be more specific for officials assigned to a specific game. We have the ability to text a single member of the crew but do not have the ability to create a group text to communicate with all members of the crew. This would be very helpful for members of the crew to communicate with each other before or after assignments.
3 votesThis already exists. This functionality is currently available through our Android apps. At this time, Apple does not allow iOS apps to initiate group texts, so until Apple loosens that restriction, we're unable to bring that functionality to our iOS apps. The functionality is already built, but iOS restrictions prohibit its use.

Allows you to put in notes even if you are not available for the full day.
It would be nice to be able to include a note even if not available the whole day.

league schedule and availability on same page
would like to be able to see the league games calendar as well as an option on choosing your availability.
currently need to write down the dates of the league games and then go to availability calendar to say that you are available.
having all information on 1 calendar would be more beneficial.

Friend Other Officials
Create a system where officials who know each other can friend each other on the website/app, and request each other for games, allowing greater opportunities for meetups between knowing officials and carpools for officials who can't drive themselves.

Availability older than 3 months in the past
As an assignor I am in the process of reviewing the activity of my officials from last season going into this season. I have some officials who have worked very little and that I am considering dropping and replcaing them with other people who are looking to work. Without the ability to look back more than 3 months at what their availability was, I can't determine if they worked so little because I passed them over or if they were just not available. It would seem to be far more valuable to be able to look at historical info going…

MY SCHEDULE
I love that I can sync / calendar match my schedules... meaning I can make one change in one of my 3 calendars and all the calendars are synced with that new availability.
Any chance our individual MY SCHEDULE can also reflect that? Meaning, regardless of which groups I am signed in with I can see all of the games I am assigned without having to leave one group to go to another?

Allow Officials to select specific rinks they would like to work
From the list of rinks already stored in Horizon allow the official, in their profile, to select their preferred rinks.

location block feature should not be managed by league admins, this feature should be available to everyone regardless of Admin choice
Allow individuals users to add location blocks (mostly since you don't have a good system to save location filters to profile)... currently this feature must be turned on by admis for a group... but if I dont want to work at a location... why not allow users to block it regardless of admin desire?

We leave management responsibilities up to individual officiating organizations to allow them to manage their business practices at their discretion. We recommend you contact your officiating organization if you'd like them to enable the Location Block List feature for their organization.
This feature is ON by default, so if it is off, your organization must have explicitly decided to turn it off.

Allow synchronizing to google calandars you don't own but have write access to
The current sync is a great feature however not ideal in my case:
We are a family of four with two referees. The other two members do other 'stuff' on the weekends, We share our weekend activities with each other on a common 'family calendar' we all have write access to. This make it much easier for all of us to organisation our cars, family time...
If we were to use the sync feature as it is now we all have to share our personal calendars together which is not ideal. Allowing the two of us to sync to our…1 voteNot enough community support.

Ability to request help and additional training for certain aspects of officiating
As a ref, I have experience, but still sometimes struggle with calling certain penalties. I would love to see a system where you can request additional training and assistance with making these calls. I know that it may be more difficult because of covid, but I believe this will really help refs who didn't get the on-ice training this year due to covid, such as myself.
