Feature Suggestions

This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

  1. Allow rosters to be imported and exported into a csv file

    Allow rosters to be imported and exported into a csv file. Would be much easier than typing individually. It's amazing to me that this is not a feature

  2. Export or mass view of Association Personnel and their Association Affiliation instead of having to go individually

    It would save time to be able to view all the Association Affiliations for all Association Personnel users instead of having to view each one individually. Including this in an export would work. This same feature could be used for the Scheduler user in knowing what Associations, Game Codes, and Venues they are allowed to see.

  3. External Calendar Display

    we would like a feature where on the master schedule page there was a link to the associations external calendar. The external calendar would display tournament weekends/weeks throughout the season where we would expect a larger demand for officials. The hope is that officials would plan/schedule accordingly knowing that certain periods would have high demand.

  4. Allow for Permission role at the Game Code Level within an Association

    Allow permissions for League Personnel (or other non-official user) to be to specific game codes within and association. Would allow to give permission to view at certain age levels within a League.

  6. Batch Import for Custom Fields

    A missing feature is the ability to use the system to track things like test scores, clinic attendance, etc. in order to report on it and establish whether an official is ready for assigning or if they should be blocked based on scores, etc.

    Being able to define our own custom fields is great. Being able to batch load from excel would be even better and would make HWR considerably stronger in its application as an official management tool.

  7. Member Directory - League Personnel

    When viewing Members Directory, you can see what leagues the user is apart of without clicking on their name. Having many League personnel, quick views are easier to look at.

  8. Game History

    It would be helpful to be able to keep a history of a game that logs changes to the game. So I can look back and see what day it was originally scheduled for or if the level changed. its easier than having to remember and track changes on my own. thanks

  9. Game Report Scoring

    When there is a tie of 0 to 0, the score does not show up in the completed games on the master schedule. Please change it so that I can scroll down and see that every game has been reported.

  10. Saving the Sorting Filters or changing the default order

    Having the ability to save the sorting feature or set defaults on the back end.

    The default Date, Arena, Time is annoying and having to reset it EVERY login is tiresome. It makes more sense to be Date, Time Arena. When viewing the master schedule

  12. Folders for Teams list

    When I go to select a team from the list I created, it would be nice to quickly go to a folder instead of scrolling to get to a team. Example, all my High School teams would be in a HS folder, College teams all in a College folder etc...

  13. Reporting on Membership

    We rank our officials (1, 2, 3) based on games worked, test score, and years of service. It would be great if we could run reports (like web enabled pivot tables) within HWR, including on custom fields.

  14. Print adjustments for a specific time frame.

    I want to be able to print the current month's adjustments with out the entire year.

  16. Min & Max Rankings for Positions

    Right now we can enter either a minimum ranking requirement or a Maximum ranking requirement for each position.

    I would like to be able to enter a range with both a minimum and maximum ranking for each position.

  18. Custom Profile Field Admin Notification Opt out

    For associations that need to set an expiry date on a custom profile field, the system sends constant emails as users update the profile field. Given our association has this on a 1-yr renewal period, we do not need email notifications.
    Is it possible to add a feature to opt out of email notifications in system settings or where ever would be best applicable, when officials complete profile field?

  20. Allow the Members Directory to be filtered by Custom Profile fields not just contact groups.

    Currently the Members Directory defaults to "All Officials" with a drop down to select by user type ("Schedulers") or Contact Groups. If you use Custom Profile Fields to track anything it should be usable as a filter for the Directory, either as a single field sort (field is present for a particular profile) or more usefully, a dynamic filter with option for logic function to be applied to the field. Best implementation would be a varadic filter which can be created and saved to work the same way as a Contact Group - alternatively if the backend supports it simple…
