This forum is where you can submit ideas you may have for future improvements to our software systems. All ideas submitted are received and read thoroughly and repeatedly. We do not provide individual responses or detailed status updates on feature suggestions, but all your ideas are valued and considered. Some ideas take just a few days, some will take years, and some may not happen, but they all start by submitting them here. Any ideas you have are welcome!

remove block preventing scheduler from assigning an umpire who hasn't logged in for the first time
I have several umpires who are happy to accept/reject games on the system but they just won't log in the first time to set it up but are happy to tell me their availability for me to update it, but I can't assign them games until they have logged in for the first time. There needs to be a way to override this so I can assign them games.
1 voteUnfortunately, this is something we won’t be able to incorporate. In order to comply with SPAM regulations, users must opt-in to receiving the bulk of our emails by logging into our system and thus inherently accepting our terms and conditions. This also helps reduce problems whereby you add a user with an incorrect email address and start scheduling them. Once you realize their email address is wrong you would have to add the new user and redo all the assignments to the correct user which just creates more work for you. Allows Members to Email non-members or coach contacts listed in entered team info
Currently our assigner has entered host school info for the high schools we are calling games for. We as officials have to contact the coaches prior to our games for various reason. As it is now, we click on the email links in this area of the program and it sends you to the members email area but when you click on the to: draw down all that is there are the umpires. So to send the email I am having to copy past the email address into an external email system.

Auto Fill Passwords and Usernames
My auto fill program will not fill in the fields for username and password. Somehow this is blocked on your site.
1 voteUnfortunately, this is not something we will be incorporating. Our system purposely blocks auto username/password options and programs for security. We do not allow and actively block password auto-fill programs. If you want the system to remember your username/password you will need to use our built in “Remember Me” feature which will keep you logged in for up to 5 days since your last login. Thanks for the idea, though.

allow umpires to swap assignments
We are about to start using your system. We have a general rule that if an umpire has accepted an assignment & they can no longer umpire the game for any reason they have to arrange for another umpire to cover their game. I'm not sure if you have this feature already but it would be great if you could allow them to contact other open umpires to arrange a swap.

Bulk Resource Attachments
It would be nice to expand the resource attachment feature to allow you to attach resources to multiple events at one time instead of one at a time.

Include game length & fees in reminder email
In System Notifications to Officials and Teams/Associations. Include the Game Length and Officials Fees to game information data. It adds an extra layer of check and balance for officials expected game fee on an assignment and what teams are expected to pay based on game length submitted for scheduling.

Simple way for users to view locked dates
It would be beneficial if users could view with one click all of the "days locked for editing" across all membership associations. Or even if there was a one click to view it in an individual associations.
1 voteUnfortunately, we have decided not to add this ability to the system. We are generally not in favor of making it easy to obtain your “locked” dates since they are not intended to help you plan your schedule or availability. We do inform users when a date is no longer editable, as a convenience, however, making it easy to obtain all the dates that are locked is not something we feel is in the best interest of the system as many users would begin planning their schedules around the locked dates, which is not the intention of the locking system. Thank you for the idea, though.

A "Grand Total" earned in addition to "Total Earned"
(The "Payment Received" was a great addition!) You currently have a "Total Earned" at the bottom of each page. However, it's the total of that page ONLY. Could you add a "GRAND TOTAL" (reflecting the total of ALL pages) at the end of the last page?
1 voteWe’ve decided not to incorporate this idea. Listing a total on that page would cause too much confusion in our opinion since you would have no way of knowing how we are generating that Grand Total. You can obtain a grand total using the payroll reports which allows yous to see exactly how the total is being calculated. Thank you for submitting an idea, though.

being able to send info from different members to the same google calander
Allowing more than one member to sync to the smae google calander. My brother and I both ref and it would be nice to be able to have the assignments on just one calander.
1 voteYou can accomplish this exact task using the Calendar Sharing options that are built in to the Google Calendar platform by Google. Unfortunately, we won’t be incorporating this functionality into our system for security reasons, but getting your assignments viewable all on one calendar is easily possible by sharing your Google Calendar as I mentioned. Thank you for the idea, though.

Unable to evaluate button on Evaluation Form
In our case, we have multiple instructors teaching a class in the drill yard. There may be as many as 6 or 8 instructors. When the class is done, currently the system requires each instructor to individually rate all the other instructors even if they did not get a chance to teach with them or see them teach. Can we add a check box to the evaluation form that says "unable to evaluate"? By checking the box off and clicking submit, it would allow the instructor to continue to move on and see their upcoming assignments and not feel compelled…
1 voteThis feature already exists. Basically, you are no longer making the evaluations required if you provide an option like this since the user can therefore bypass any evaluation they desire. You can simply make the evaluations optional and then they can evaluate only those instructors they desire and it will not prevent them from continuing with the system. Hope that helps. Being able to see games with less than the full complement of officials.
When I have a large number of games in a weekend, such as a tournament, I would like to be able to filter the game so I can see only those games that are not completely scheduled. I am more concerned to see those than those slots that are unaccepted. Some kind of drop down box also in this situation to see the officials I have already tried so as not to assign an official to the same game they have already declined. This is rather than looking at the game details.
1 voteAll these features you’ve mentioned already exist. You can filter the schedule to see games that are not completely assigned with the Schedule Filters at the top of the Master Schedule. Also, if an official declines a game, they automatically are marked unavailable for that game so you don’t re-assign them again to the same game. Thanks for submitting an idea, though.

Remove Officials from Public Schedule
We can live with the "pull down" letting us chose the past, future or combination days to display in the public schedule. The last item we would request is an option to display or not display already assigned officials.
Reason - the officials do not need to see each other business of what they are or are not assigned to in the future - this where we would use this feature. Perhaps a toggle to allow on or off of this display or simply a display that shows "game filled" for those games that would be displayed and are already…
1 voteI’m not sure I fully understand this. It seems to me that this functionality already exists, but correct me if I’m misunderstanding this. Document acknowledgement
I would like to send out rules or code of conduct policies that require signature that they have read and accepted the terms. Could a feature be added to handle this through Horizon?

allows refs to block portions of days that already have games assigned to it.
Schedulers would benefit from this feature because they wouldn't waste time assigning games to officials that have other commitments on days that they've already accepted games. Officials would benefit because they wouldn't have to decline games for those days, and also it looks bad to decline assignments due to unavailability.
Officials are currently given the option to block a portion of any given day prior to accepting assignments, but please re-consider giving us this option for days that already have accepted assignments on them. It would save time for all!
1 voteThis feature already exists. The locked days on your availability calendar are due to an optional feature that your scheduler has decided to use. Your scheduler has the ability to turn this off, if they desire, which would give you the ability to edit days that already have games assigned to them. So your scheduler is the one preventing you from updating those days, not us. Thank you for the submission, though.

Accept games for officials
Accept games for officials with going through their account as simulate user
2 votesUnfortunately, we’ve decided not to incorporate this idea. For the foreseeable future, we intend to leave the accepting for an official only available via Simulation Mode. Accepting for an official rarely needs to be done. In most cases, if you’re trying to accept for an official, there is likely a better option to solve the problem you’re trying to solve via one of our other features instead of trying to accept on behalf of an official. Column in Assigner window showing games assigned so far for the current month
A column that showed the number of games each official has assigned to him so far in the current month. If it needed to replace a current column I would suggest removing games so far this year column or games turned back column. This would help keep game assignments even for the month without constantly referring to the graph feature at the top of the page.
3 votesUnfortunately, we have already had this idea submitted. We incorporated the brand new Officials Metrics option on the assigning window which shows a number of stats about the users, including the number of games assigned in the month. Unfortunately, there is not enough room for us to include that directly on the assigning window and replacing another column is not available at this time. We may revisit this again in the future, but at this time the Officials Metrics option was our solution provided to this idea, previously submitted. Thank you for the idea, though.

cannot see the verbiage on the screen because the new feature request section is covering up part of the screen
1 voteIf this item is covering items on your screen, it is because your screen resolution is too small. You should see approximately 1 inch of a buffer zone on both the left and side side of the website. You will either need to make sure your browser window is in full screen or change your computer’s resolution. We recommend at least 1400w, but anything over 1200w should be sufficient. Thank you.

event cancelled or rescheduled ahead of time - notice
when an event has been booked and members have accepted the event but then the event is cancelled or rescheduled it would be nice to still show the event but mark as cancelled or changed not just have it removed from system.
1 voteThis already exists. Cancelled games are not deleted from the system, as long as you mark the game as “Cancelled” and not just flat out delete the game. Deleting the game using the actual delete button is the only way a game is removed from the system. A canceled game is still in your system and still readily accessible. Officials and coaches still see the game no problem. For schedulers, the game (by default) does hide from your schedule since you presumably, won’t be doing any scheduling a cancelled game. However, you can easily view it by changing your schedule filters and allow canceled games to be displayed. Hope that helps. Thank you.
