How do I get offered to use this option?To utilize the Micro-Deposit Verification method, you will need to intentionally fail the bank login process twice. You can just make up an erroneous username/password when asked to login to your online banking. Do this twice.
Once you've failed the login twice, you'll be presented with this option where you can choose Use deposit verification:
How Micro-Deposits WorkOur system will send two very small deposits to your bank account of varying amounts. It will take 1 to 3 business days for those micro-deposits to arrive in your bank account. Once they arrive, you'll receive an email from our system informing you that they've arrived. You'll need to check your bank account and identify the amounts sent to you. You will then return to the Horizon Payment Center and report to us the amounts you received to verify you have access to that bank account. For security and fraud prevention purposes, you will have no more than 3 attempts to do this successfully. After 3 attempts, you will need to delete the bank account and start over again by re-adding the bank account and initiating a new set of micro-deposits with new amounts.
Performing the Micro-Deposit Verification
After you've started the add bank account process and chose Micro-Deposit Bank Verification, you will be prompted to provide you bank routing and account numbers. You can find those numbers at the bottom of a check or deposit slip, if necessary.
Once you've done this, you'll see a confirmation email and you'll see a note on the Bank Accounts tab in the Horizon Payment Center indicating that the micro-deposits are on the way. Now, you'll need to wait for them to arrive in 1 to 3 business days.
You will receive an email from us once the micro-deposits arrive. Be sure to wait for this email before attempting to continue. Check your bank accounts and return to the Horizon Payment Center. The previous message about the micro-deposits will be replaced with a button. Click the Verify Now button to finalize the verification.
If you don't see the Verify Now button, then it we have not yet received confirmation from your bank of the micro-deposit arrival. Some banks deliver the micro-deposits to you a few hours before confirming delivery to us. You should wait for the email notification from us before attempting this step. Once you receive the email, that means we got confirmation of the micro-deposit arrival and the Verify Now button will be ready for you to use. If this situation happens, the delay between delivery & notification is usually only a few hours.
Enter the amounts of the micro-deposits that you received. Remember, you only have 3 tries to enter correctly.
Once correctly submitted, then you're done. Your bank will be verified and ready for payments.
